Have you ever wondered what it takes to hike the Inca Trail? Or just curious about the Inca Trail? Well sit back and enjoy a virtual reality-like tour of the trail. Although this is an amateur home-style video, you will experience four days of pure outdoor, exhaustive, fun filled adventure. The trail is paved with blocks of stones; it has stone stairways, tunnels and wooden bridges. It crosses rivers, streams, temperate valleys, warm cloud forest and cold highlands. The sensation of being in these diverse natural environments is an experience to treasure for the rest of your life. Accompanied by a guide and porters, the trek begins by crossing the suspension bridge over the Urubamba River. The highest point on the Inca Trail is Abra de WarmiwaƱiusca (“Dead Woman’s Pass”) at 14,000 feet and ends in the Inca city of Machu Picchu, the climax of the Inca Trail. You then are bused down to the small town of Aquas Calientes where you take a train back to the starting point.
